Prepare Your Visit to Japan
VISA
After you make the reservation for your consultation, please make sure that you have valid passport and VISA (if you need) to travel to Japan.
If you are going to have surgery at The Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR, we recommend obtaining VISA which covers longer period than scheduled one in case of additional treatment after the operation. This is because you, as a passport holder, may have to visit Immigration Bureau to extend VISA in some case and it will be troublesome after you start treatment.
If you plan to visit Japan several times for your treatment, we recommend obtaining “VISA for Medical Stay”

On Your Arrival
Currency Exchange
The Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR does not accept foreign currency or check at the payment. We do not provide currency exchange service as well. Since it is hard to find exchange counter near our hospital, we recommend exchanging currency when you arrive at the airport.

- There are several exchange counters in Tokyo. Please ask the staff of International Patient Service Team (IPST) about where to exchange money near your accommodation.
Cell Phone Rental Service
Rental Cell Phone is available at the counter of the airport.
