Identification of a novel molecular target of Tivantinib (ARQ197)
Tivantinib (ARQ 197) has been developed as a small molecule c-MET inhibitor and early clinical studies suggest its effective anti-tumor activity. In this study, we newly identified microtubule polymerization-inhibiting activity of tivantinib. Our study strongly suggests that growth inhibition/cytotoxicity of tivantinib may be mainly due to inhibition of tubulin polymerization. More
