The UICC-Asia Regional Office
In 2006, UICC-Japan launched the UICC-Asia Regional Office (UICC-ARO) with the annual budget 100,000 USD (80,000 from Japan using part of the former NS and 20,000 from Geneva Office).. The principal purpose of launching ARO was to promote cancer epidemiology and registry in Asia including the publication of the Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention (APJCP) and also to promote the visibility of UICC in Asia, especially at assemblies of the Asian-Pacific Organization of Cancer Prevention and the Asian Pacific Cancer Congress (APOCP).
