Research Projects
We research about mechanism of Trib1 in leukemogenesis and involvement in human leukemia case. We have identified that Trib1 induces acute myeloid leukemia through activation of Ras–MAP kinase pathway by interaction with MEK1 and degradation of C/EBPa regulating myeloid differentiation in murine bone marrow transfer model. Recently, we identified active mutation of TRIB1 in a human case of Down syndrome-related acute megakaryocytic leukemia. These results indicate that TRIB1 is important oncogene for leukemogenesis, It aims toapplication to the diagnosis and therapy for leukemia.
