Features of the Department
Treatment by Experienced Physicians
Experienced physicians lead the medical team to provide responsible medical care based on years of experience, accurate cytological diagnosis and accumulated data. We continue to provide treatment to the greatest number of patients in Japan.
Provision of Optimal Treatment to Each Patient
Gynecologists responsibly create optimal treatment plans in cooperation with the doctors of Comprehensive Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology Department. Characteristics of cancer in each patient, patients’ physical and mental condition, and their requests about treatment policy are considered when the treatment plan is created.
We construct a system (multidisciplinary treatment) in which therapeutic approaches such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy are combined as necessary and implemented safely.
Improvement of Patients’ Quality of Life
We also make an effort to improve the Quality of Life of patients during and after treatment. We have endocrine/bone outpatient clinic and lymphedema prevention outpatient clinic for preventing a reduction in QOL due to adverse effects, sequelae and complications of cancer treatment. We also have a Hat Club with the aim of coping with hair loss. In addition, we provide periodic cancer screening that enables early detection of recurrence, if any, after treatment.
