Our Treatments

The goal of the Department of General Medicine is to help providing safe and high-quality cancer treatment such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy, by properly remedying various comorbid internal diseases.

We provide medical care for non-cancerous disorders such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, endocrine diseases, electrolyte abnormalities, osteoporosis, hepatitis and gastrointestinal diseases. In addition, we provide medical management for various symptoms and complications associated with cancer progression or treatment.

  • Heart failure, angina pectoris, valvular heart diseases, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmia, hypertension, arteriosclerosis
  • Diabetes, dislipidemia, Basedow disease, chronic thyroiditis (Hashimoto’s disease), hypogonadism, adrenal diseases, pituitary diseases, primary hyperparathyroidism, osteoporosis
  • Hyper/hypocalcemia, hypophosphatemia, hyper/hyponatremia, hyper/hypokalemia
  • Chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis
  • Reflux esophagitis, chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer, Helicobacter pylori infection, gastric fistula, inflammatory bowel disease

  • Echocardiography, carotid ultrasonography, exercise electrocardiography, ankle-brachial pressure index (ABI)/pulse wave velocity (PWV), pulmonary function test
  • Thyroid ultrasonography, quantitative measurement of bone mineral density (DXA method), various types of scintigraphy
  • Gastrointestinal endoscopy, abdominal ultrasonography, breath test

Features of the Department

We have various specialists to provide high-quality care for non-cancerous diseases, as well as holistic care, closely cooperating with other departments.

Cardiologists make diagnoses for all echocardiogram and electrocardiogram (twelve-lead resting, exercise, and 24-hour Holter) performed in our hospital.
