Features of the Department

Cancer Board

For leukemia patients, treatment plan is determined at the Hematologic Cancer Board based on an accurate assessment of the bone marrow examination. For the patients with other diseases, treatment plan is determined not by an individual physician, but through the discussion among all staff members. We try to share information on adverse effects and the treatment status of each patient.

Cooperation with Other Departments

We provide treatments in cooperation with other departments. We conduct accurate diagnosis by biopsy, histopathological examination, CT scan, PET scan, and bone marrow examination. In particular, we cooperate closely with the Department of Pathology. In addition, the number of clinical trials is constantly increasing in cooperation with many departments.

Cooperation with Hospitals Specializing in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

When a patient need the allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, we introduce the hospital specializing in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Our hospital does not conduct allogeneic transplantation, but conducts autotransplantation.
