Genome research for prediction systems of treatment responses to cancers
In the personalized medicine, predictions for both treatment effects and adverse effects are important. To predict treatment effects prior to real treatments, establishment of prediction systems are required. In order to build such systems, we have to search for relevant genes related with treatment effects from enormous gene expression profile by microarray. We have been collecting expression profiles of various cancers, developing and applying methodologies of bioinformatics, and establishing high-precision prediction systems. In searching for genes related with adverse effects、we use single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) data and are developing highly reliable prediction systems. In these researches, it is important to do integrated analysis on various molecular information and annotations in the database. We would like to promote these bioinformatics researches for the personalized medicine.
